Who the hell are you?

Spring is coming and there are things to do. AP have a very good schedule of projects for photo nuts like me (and thanks to Rob in my local Jacobs for pointing it out) that will keep me busy for the rest of the year (on and off). On top of that I have some of my own.

#1 is a series on Urban decay. Some good stuff in the area. Depressed areas of Hull on the doorstep. But what do you say when the local youth confronts one (complete with one's expensive kit) - "Who the hell are you? [And what are your chances of escape with that nice camera]" Settle down; it's a joke. But there is a serious point. Take care when on location.

#2 a commission to copy fine art. Harder than it sounds if the colour is faithfully reproduced. Care will be taken to compensate colour (with the lighting), dual flash with diffusers. The whole 9 yards (or is that meters).

#3 the AP series. Several sections to be delivered to AP in stages. Should be fun.

The recent Focus exhibition was a nice diversion but (and I think I speak for most of us) - Canon are a very miserable bunch for pulling out. They just launched the 30D and were too tight to bring it to Birmingham for the adoring public. I dunno about you but I can't be bothered to go to London for a launch like that. The press can do that. Who am I? I only use the stuff and pay for it into the Canon bank balance.
